RBE No. 57/2019: Sports – Treatment of Participation Period in Events/ Pre-participation Camps – On Duty

Sub: Treating the period of participation in sporting events in National or International importance and pre-participating coaching camp as ‘On Duty’.
Ref: Board’s letter No.E(Sports)2008/Policy/1(SCL/Duty), dated 22.04.2008 (RBE No. 59/2008).

Attention is invited to Board’s letter No.E(Sports)2008/Policy/1(SCL/Duty), dated 22.04.2008 (RBE No. 59/2008) regarding ‘On Duty’ order of players/ officials nominated by the Federations for participation in the sporting events of National/ International importance and pre-participating Coaching Camp on the advice of Railway Sports Promotional Board.
The matter has been reviewed by the Board and it has been decided that the Players/ Coaches/ Chief Coach be initially granted SCL for their period of participation in above mentioned camps. The period will be treated as “On Duty” only after production of ‘Release Performa’ by the Chief Coach (in case of Chief Coach ‘Release Performa’ be given by the Camp In-charge/ Centre In-charge/ Administrator) to the effect that the Player/ Coach/ Chief Coach concerned has attended the camp for how many days. An undertaking will be taken from the player/ coach/ chief coach concerned that other than emergency he will not take a leave from the camp ad if a leave is taken he will inform his unit and RSPB.
