RBE No. 25/2010: MACPS – Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme – Clarification

Sub: Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPS) for the Railways employees – Clarification regarding.

1. References have been received from some of the Railways seeking clarification as to whether while implementing MACPS in terms of Board’s letter dated 10.06.2009 (RBE No. 101/2009), the benchmark prescribed in Para-17 of the Annexure has to be taken for the last three years or otherwise. The matter has been examined in consultation with DoP&T and it is clarified that ACR’s for the same period as required for DPC purposes are to be considered while granting the benefits under MACP Scheme. Further, the practice of averaging ACR ratings as followed in case of normal DPC be adopted with reference to the respective benchmark for MACP purposes.
2. This issue with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
