Sub: Personnel Officer in the Selection Board for promotion of Non-gazetted staff.

1. Reference Master Circular No.31 on promotion of Non-gazetted (Group ‘C’) staff to selection posts.
2. The following may be added to Para 5(i) of Master Circular ibid:-

“The presence of a Personal Officer in the Selection Board will meet the requirement of an officer from a Department other than that for which the selection is held. In case of selection for Personnel Department at least one officer should be from Department other than Personnel Department.”
