Sub: Initial training period for incumbents selected against GDCE.

The Ministry of Railways have decided to modify the “Manual on Management of Training, (Edition, 1998)” as per the Correction Slip enclosed.

Para 5.5.1.3 under sub-para 5.5.1 of para 5.5 of the Manual on Management of Training, (Edition, 1998) may be inserted as under:-
5.5.1.3 The duration of initial training for persons selected under the scheme of GDCE, wherever existing, should be the same as prescribed for persons recruited from the open market, i.e. direct recruits. This will apply to all categories included in the scheme of GDCE and where initial training has been prescribed.
