Sub: Presentation of Gold plated Medals to retiring Railway servants.
1. Reference Board’s letter of even number dated 20.03.2006 (RBE No. 31/2006) and subsequent instructions in the matter.
2. Clarification has been sought with regard to use of Zonal Railways Logos on the Gold-plated silver medals presented to retiring railway servants in view of Board’s letter No.2007/PR/13/5, dated 12.03.2007 advising Railways to discontinue the use of their individual Logos.
3. It has been decided that in view of the Board’s ibid letter dated 12.03.2007, the instructions issued vide Board’s ibid letter dated 20.03.2006 regarding presentation of Gold-plated silver medals to retiring railway servants stand partially modified to the extent that ‘Logo of the concerned Railway/ PU’ be discontinued. However, the Indian Railways ‘Logo’ will be continued to be shown on one side and the name of the Zonal Railway/ PU may be shown on the other side. Other instructions with regard to design of the medal remain unchanged.
