RBE No.06/2000: Date of Birth in Service Record

Sub: Review of rules regarding date of birth and the service record.

In exercise of powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution the President is pleased to direct that a note as under may be added below Rule 225(4)(iii) of Chapter of IREC, Vol-I (1985 Edition) as in the Advance Correction Slip No.75 forwarded herewith.

Rule 225(4)(iii) of Chapter-2
Please add the following as Railway Board’s decision below the said rule:
“Note: The source/ basis on which the date of birth has been recorded and the Service Records of the employee at the time of entering service may be recorded below the date of birth recorded.”
