RBE No. 62/1985: Cadre – De-centralization – Enquiry-cum-reservation Clerks
No.E(NG)III/76/CD/40, dated 28.02.1985
Sub: Enquiry-cum-reservation Clerks on Railways – Decentralization of cadre.
Reference this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 05.08.1976 regarding manning of the cadre of Enquiry-cum-reservation Clerks on the Railways.
Decentralization of this cadre was one of the demands raised by NFIR in the PNM meeting with the Board. This demand was last discussed in the PNM meeting held between the Federations at the Railway Board on 27/28.09.1984. As a result of these deliberations and after consulting both the recognized Federations, it has been decided to authorize the Railway Administrations to decentralize the cadre Enquiry-cum Reservation Clerks in respect of those Divisions where the post of Enquiry-cum-reservation Clerks in scale Rs.330-560 and Rs.425-640 are available at three or more stations. The decision of for decentralization may be taken by individual Railway Administration in consultation with their recognized unions. Such decentralization will, however, be confined to the lowest two grades of the cadre, viz. posts in scale Rs.330-560 and Rs.425-640.
