Sub: Applicability of ‘Best Amongst the Failure Scheme’ in LDCE Exam.

Kindly refer to Railway Board’s letter of even number dated 17.08.2020 (copy enclosed) on the above subject wherein it has been clarified that since the promotions through LDCE are purely on the basis of merit and there is already a provision of relaxation in qualifying standard for SCs/STs for filling up reserved vacancies, policy of Best Amongst the failures scheme in promotions through LDCE will not be applicable.

In this regard, it has further been decided that the cases/panels/results which have already been finalised on or before 17.08.2020, need not be disturbed.
