Quarters: RBE No.70/2025 – Retention by Staff Posted to NF Railway

Sub:  Retention of Railway quarters at the previous place of posting by Railway employees posted to Northeast Frontier Railway – reg.

1. Attention is invited to Board’s letter of even number dated 18.07.2024 (RBE No.65/2024) vide which Railway officers/ staff on transfer to Northeast Frontier Railway have been permitted to retain their Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting up to 30.06.2025.

2. Now, on consideration of a request received from Northeast Frontier Railway and in exercise of the powers vested in it to make reasonable relaxations in public interest for a class/ group of employees in all or any of the provisions regarding house allotment/ retention, the Full Board have decided that Railway officers/ staff posted to Northeast Frontier Railway may be permitted to retain their Railway quarters, on normal rent, at the previous place of posting for a further period of 02 years beyond 30.06.2025 i.e. up to 30.06.2027 on the same terms and conditions as mentioned in Board’s letter of even number dated 14.10.2021.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
