Sub: Honorarium to visiting dignitaries, Lecturers at Railway Staff College, Vadodara.

Ref:  Your letters No.RSC/VL/P, dated 15.04.1985 and 20.08.1985.

In supersession of the instructions contained in their letter of even number dated 11.01.1985 (RBE No.15/1985), the Department of Railways have now decided that outside faculty i.e. eminent Lecturers from IIMS, NITIE, etc., when invited to deliver lectures for conducting Management Development or other Programmes which are conducted for Administrative officers and above, may be paid honorarium at the rate of Rs.150 per session of 1-3/4 hours duration plus 10% institutional charges subject to a maximum of Rs.500 per day in all, as a special case, in relaxation of the instructions contained in their letter of even number dated 30.04.1984.

This has the sanction of the President and issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Department of Railways, Ministry of Transport.
