Sub: Age limit for direct recruitment to Class-III categories in Railway Printing Presses.
1. In the rules for Recruitment Training & Promotion of staff in the Railway Printing Presses the present age limit of 25 and 28 years has been prescribed in respect of the following categories:

Junior Reader | 25 years |
Binder | 25 years |
Chargeman Grade ‘B’ | 28 years |
2. The question of prescribing uniform age limit for direct recruitment of different Class-III categories in Railway Printing Presses has been engaging the attention of this Ministry for quite some time.
3. After careful consideration of the matter it has been decided that the present age limit of 25 and 28 years prescribed in respect of above mentioned categories of staff in the Railway Printing Presses may be raised to 30 years.
Accordingly, following corrections are to be carried out in the Rules for Recruitment, Training & Promotion of staff in the Railway Printing Presses (First Reprint 1973)
202(C)(1)(a)(iii) – Trainee Chargemen – Read “30 years” for “28 years”
205(C)(1)(a)(iii) – Junior Readers – Read “30 years” for “25 years”,
209(A)(1)(a)(iii) – Compositors – Read “30 years” for “25 years”
211(A)(1)(a)(iv) – Binders – Read “30 years” for “25 years”.
