Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Reservation for PwBD

Sub: Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) for recruitment from open market- List of Posts identified suitable for them – reg.       

1. Attention is invited to this Ministry’s letter No.E(NG)II/2014/RC-2/1 List, dated 14.02.2014 circulating therewith List of Posts identified suitable for Persons with Disabilities in Group ‘C’ erstwhile Group ‘D’ categories on the Railways. Attention is also invited to this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 16.02.2018 (RBE No.23/2018) which enhanced the quantum of reservation for for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) from 3 to 4 of the total number of vacancies in the case of direct recruitment of Non-Gazetted staff.

2. In view of the current and imminent open market recruitment notifications, it has been deemed necessary to identify and circulate a list of posts indicating their suitability for various categories of PwBD. This provisional shortlisting has been done accordingly and is circulated for information and guidance of Zonal Railways/ Units. It may be ensured that requisite percentage of reservation is provided as laid down in extant provisions of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and enabling Rules/ instructions issued on the subject therein.
