Freedom Fighters: RBE No.09/1987 – Issue of Card Passes

Sub:  Issue of Card Passes to Freedom Fighters.

Ref: Ministry of Railways letter of even No. dated 17.10.1986 (RBE No.202/1986).

As already advised, vide Board’s Circular of even No. dated 17.10.1986 (RBE No.202/1986), the Freedom Fighters who are drawing pension from Central Government are eligible to take their spouse or a companion alongwith them. In the circumstances, the Board desire that the freedom fighters may not be required to give the name, age, etc. of the spouse/ companion accompanying them, at the time of applying for a freedom fighters Pass. Hence para 1(vi)(d) & (e) of Board’s letter dated 17.10.1986 (RBE No.202/1986), relevant in this connection may be deleted, Freedom Fighters will, however, have to indicate the name of the spouse or companion accompanying them, in the Annexure to the Card Pass while starting their journey, in the columns provided in the Annexure to the Card Pass given to the Freedom Fighters.
