Interim Relief: RBE No.91/1986 – Grant of Second Installment

Sub: Grant of Second Installment of Interim Relief, to the re-employed Railway employees (Sanctioned vide Board’s letter of even number dated 01.05.1985 (RBE No.129/1985).

A doubt has been raised by the Railway Rates Tribunal, Madras as to whether the interim relief to the re-employed Railway employees is admissible on the pay fixed on re-employment or on the effective pay after deducting pension and pensionary equivalent. The matter has been examined in consultation with the Ministry of Finance and it is clarified that the interim relief sanctioned vide Railway Board’s letter of even number dated 01.05.1985 (RBE No.129/1985) is admissible to the re-employed Railway employees/ Pensioners on the pay fixed in the civil posts on re-employment and not on effective pay.
