Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava: Felicitation of Retired Railway Employees on 75th Independence Day

Sub: To commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence on 15^th August, 2022 as “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava”.

Ref: Note of MOSR(J) (Dy.No.MOSR(J)/VIP/03/2021, 29.09.2021).

As per the decision of the Hon’ble MR, it has been decided to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence on 15^th August, 2022 as “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava” as per following:

(i) A special Medallion with emblem of Indian Railways depicting 75^th year of independence to be designed.

(ii) Such medallions to be presented to retired Railway employees of 75 years of age having distinguished themselves in the course of their service in varied fields including culture and sports.

In order to comply with stipulated para (ii) above, all the Zonal Railways, PUs/ PSUs are requested to furnish the details of number of such retired Railway employees who have attained the age of 75 years on 15^th August, 2022 and having distinguished themselves in varied fields including culture and sports.

It must be adhered that such retired Railway employees should have excelled in culture and sports.
