Sub: Reservation of 3% seats for ex-servicemen, their children and children of armed force personnel.

Please find enclosed a copy of letter No.DGET-23(2)/87.AP, dated 26.03.1987 issued by the Directorate General of Employment & Training for reservation of 3% for:-

(1) Children of deceased/ disabled Ex-servicemen including those killed/ disabled during peace time,

(2) Children of Ex-servicemen,

(3) Children of Serving Jawans,

(4) Children of Serving Officers,

(5) Ex-servicemen.

The same may be implemented whenever Apprentices are trained under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Sub: Follow up action on item No.10 of the minutes of the 19^th meeting of CAC – Reservation of seats for the Children of Armed Forces Personnel under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme.

I am directed to invite your attention to item No.10 of the minutes of the 19^th meeting of CAC on the above subject and to say that the decision of the CAC may kindly be implemented in your Region/ State/ UT and ensure that 3% reservation for ex-servicemen, their children and children of the Armed Forces Personnel be made as per details mentioned below, for the engagement of apprentices, under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme by all the concerned undertakings/ establishments:

(1) Children of deceased/ disabled Ex-servicemen including those killed/ disabled during peace time,

(2) Children of Ex-servicemen,

(3) Children of Serving Jawans,

(4) Children of Serving Officers,

(5) Ex-servicemen.
